History

The history of Codornu is closely linked to the production of cava, but the company has also been involved in the production of still wines for many years. In fact, the Codornu family has been producing still wines in Spain since the 16th century, long before the first bottle of cava was produced. The Codornu family began producing still wines on their estate in the Peneds region (north-east Spain), which is known for its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate.

Vinification Details

Top Tempranillo plots were chosen to make this single varietal wine, which was oaked over 1 year in French and American oak barrels.
