Our estate is situated in Saint-Bris in northern Burgundy. A fruity and pure Pinot Noir with notes of fresh raspberry, strawberry and almond on the palate. The finish is generous and slightly mineral.

History

Father and son duo Jean-Louis and Jean-Christophe run this 22-hectare estate based in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux. They make very natural wines with little sulphur from old vines that give real depth of flavour. The wines age in old barrels in their atmospheric 12th century cellars.

Regional Information

The village of Saint-Bris-le-Vineux is just beyond the limit of the Chablis district, and is known for its sheer number of highly respected growers. In France Saint Bris is much sought-after, but thankfully remains under the radar in the UK. Vines grow at 150-220m above sea level on limestone and clay soils. The vineyard is farmed organically, and the climate is continental.
